“What I love about his book is that it is real, practical, and applicable to a number of different situations and demographics. While I am not in the STEM field, this book is definitely one that hits home because as a mom, my world is all about integrating my desire to succeed as a business owner with my desire to be a great mom/wife/sister/friend/etc. If you are looking for tools to thrive in both your personal and professional life, this book is a must read!”

“I’m writing this for all of you super-moms, super-wives, and super-daughters in STEM who are juggling your dreams/careers and your roles within your family. It is hard, almost impossible, what you have achieved trying your best to thrive while keeping both of these worlds balanced. I bet you felt tired and defeated a couple times along the way. I bet you also know a few friends, colleagues or family members who have failed in their search for balance and have given up.
What if I told you there might be an easier path for you to become your best self in all of your roles? What if there’s a way for you to thrive in your career, feel balanced in all of your roles, and actually enjoy the ride?
Do I have your attention? Are you interested?
Read this book and follow it through! It is a collection of studied steps and instructions training your mindset and helping you thrive in not one but all of roles. Each step, every advice and all the do’s and don’ts have already been tried by others with confirmed outcome, and that is simply the best and the most important thing about this book. The book will help you understand your right place within your story and will introduce you to the correct attitude dealing with bumps and setbacks. And, although it might seem to be more geared toward women in STEM, I believe its recipe is more universal than that and can be a guide for anybody who is juggling their many roles in life.
Who is the author? Why should you listen to her?
She is a mom, a wife and a daughter who is also an esteemed leader and a very well respected aerospace engineer within the defense and aerospace industry. Her legacy as an advocate for women and under-represented communities in STEM, is very impressive and one the most interesting things about her.
Who am I? Why should you listen to me?
I am what you will call “an ally” by the end this book. I am also an aerospace engineer who was raised by a supermom/engineer. I’m brother to a thriving aerospace engineer/super wife. And I’m also the proud husband/best friend of 22 years to a super wife/engineer. Witnessing their struggles, their tireless efforts and their prosperity and being extremely proud of them is what makes me your “Ally!”
Good luck on your journey through STEM MOMS!”

“I'm a working mom, but not in a STEM field. To be honest, I wasn’t sure how this book would apply to me. I found this book encouraging, empowering and very relatable. The author has a clear voice and takes you through a journey of self-reflection to not only bring your goals into focus, but to uncover your own strengths and contributions. Well worth the time, especially for those STEM moms directly in the field, but would also absolutely recommend for anyone thinking through their next move, contemplating a career shift or re-entering the workforce. It is encouraging to be unapologetic for not only being a working parent who excels on the job but is transparent in making family a priority as well. Final note: this does not scream super mom who has it all with no sleep, no outside interests and an army of paid support, more like someone who successfully carved a path with average time and resources living a balanced life in a predominately male industry.”
