GENERAL COHORT TIMELINE
Virtual Happy Hour!
We’ll practice some socially awkward virtual socializing while celebrating how far we’ve come!
Buddy/Peer Mentoring
Meet with your new peer mentor(s) to practice the skills we’re learning. Gain cross-industry perspective and a chance to support someone else.
One-on-One Professional Coaching
Partner with your personal executive coach to go deeper into any concept that resonates with you. Two sessions included with your cohort membership!
1:1 Coaching
As a member of this ELMM Coaching Cohort, you will receive personalized coaching from Cassie Leonard to address your specific goals, challenges, and action plans you would like to develop.
This is your time to focus in on what inspired you to join this group, whether your forging a new career path, or trying to create fulfillment right where you are.
First time working with a coach? Don’t worry. If you don’t know exactly where you want to go, we’ll work together to identify what will be valuable for you in our conversation. We’ll also identify meaningful measures of success so the conversation is sure to yield results!
The Details:
All cohort members are eligible for two (2) coaching sessions, which can be scheduled any time from the moment you join the cohort to 3 months after completion.
Coaching sessions are typically 1 hour.
Sessions are virtual unless otherwise pre-coordinated (In person options are available for members located in the PNW.)
Pick a time that works for you via the Calendly Link inside your Portal.
Any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Buddy / Peer Mentoring
Benefit from practicing your mentoring skills with a trusted partner. You'll exchange insights and experiences to support each other's growth. Active feedback will help you both grow.
The Details:
All cohort members are requests to meet four (4) times with your mentoring partner(s), ideally on the off-weeks between sessions.
Mentoring sessions are typically 30-60 minutes, but please adjust however best serves your group.
Pick a time that works for your group. Mailchimp, zoom, gmail, and calendly all have meeting scheduler solutions if you’re struggling to find white space on your calendars.
To avoid some common mentoring issues (as identified by The Art of Mentoring), we have built in a small amount of structure for you:
Lack of training: Significant time in Session 2 will be dedicated to discussing active listening and other mentoring techniques.
Not enough or too much structure: Themes will be provided as suggestions for each conversation. Your choice if you use that theme or follow where the conversation moves organically.
Poor matching: Mentoring partnerships will be selected as part of Session 2 (after we’ve all done some introductions and had a chance to meet socially at our virtual happy hour.) Partnerships will be groups of two or three.
Ignoring checkpoints: We will have a quick group discuss on how the mentoring is going during each group session. Checkpoints are baked in to the plan!
Lack of expectations: Time expectations are noted above. Please do NOT share any proprietary or confidential information with your peer mentor(s). If you have any concerns, please let Cassie know asap.
Any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Feedback is a gift!
Your participation in the ELMM Cohorts is so appreciated.
Whenever you are inspired, please consider dropping a note to let me know how it’s going. This could be suggested improvements, things that are fabulous, or anything in between.
